Front-End Developer

Core Development Team

 

We are seeking a Front-End Developer maintain and enhance an existing software solution. This person will collaborate with key stakeholders to improve functionality, usability, and performance. Additionally, this person will become a production product expert providing technical support for ongoing customer implementations.


As a Front-End Developer at Velozient, you will report to the Managing Director fulfilling the following requirements:


Responsibilities

  • Research, recommend, and implement enhancements that will improve the user experience
  • Develop new features desired by the implementation team, customers, and product management
  • Provide technical support—debug, update, and refactor code—for production software
  • Follow common web standards and development methodologies to improve efficiency and performance
  • Work closely with backend developers to ensure the integrity of the user interface
  • Collaborate with peers to achieve maximum client satisfaction
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
  • Test and deploy applications and systems


Required Experience

  • 4+ years of application development experience
  • Experience with the ASP.NET framework (Webforms, VB.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS) and working with external REST APIs
  • Experience with DevExpress or other third-party graphic control libraries
  • Familiarity with IIS and SQL Server
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Knowledgeable of the most current UI/UX development best practices and responsive design
  • Experience with a cross-browser testing and implementation
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

 

Desired Experience

  • Familiarity with process industries (e.g., refining, chemical, power generation, pulp/paper, and mining)

 

Additional Information

  • This is a permanent position
  • Typical week is 40-45 hours, Monday – Friday
  • Country of residence National Holiday schedule
  • 15 days Paid Time Off
  • Start: ASAP
